TobyChess is a free, browser-based chess platform built around two focused modes. The Daily Puzzle challenges you to find a forced checkmate sequence — typically mate in three to five moves — with immediate color-coded feedback on every move and an optional hint if you get stuck. Play a Friend drops you and an opponent onto the same board through a single shareable link, with customizable time controls and no registration required on either end.
Unlike most chess sites, TobyChess doesn't ask for an account, an email address, or a password before you can move a pawn.
